Workshop/Tour Combo

To make the most of your visit to the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, we suggest the workshop/tour combo, which allows participants to enjoy an art experience that combines observation of works with hands-on experience with various techniques and materials.

Schedule for preschool, elementary and secondary school groups

Monday to Friday:
Block A: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. (available for 1 class)
Block B: 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (available for 1 or 2 classes, lunch from 11:30 to 12)
Block C: 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (available for 1 or 2 classes, lunch from 12 to 12:30)
Block D: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. (available for 1 or 2 classes)
Length: 2 hours
Minimum age: four

Schedule for college, university and all other groups of adults

Monday to Friday:
Block A: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. (available for 30 participants)
Block B: 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (available for 60 participants, lunch from 11:30 to 12)
Block C: 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (available for 60 participants, lunch from 12 to 12:30)
Block D: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. (available for 60 participants)
Saturday:
Block E: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. (available for 30 participants)
Thursday and Friday evenings:
Block F: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (available for 30 participants)

Art Workshops

The goal of the Musée’s art workshops is to offer visitors of all ages an opportunity to enhance their aesthetic experience by trying out various techniques, media and materials related to a concept or theme found in a work or exhibition

Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Length: 60 minutes
Minimum age: four


Interactive Tours

Through personal observation of works, the tours help visitors develop their eye for the art object. In an atmosphere conducive to discussion and questioning, the tours offer a moment of discovery, learning and awareness of contemporary art.
Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Length: 60 minutes or 90 minutes
