Tandems Workshop/Visit at the MAC at Place Ville Marie
From Plastic to Cosmic
September 15 to October 7 2022
Come and discover the exhibition by Argentinian-born American artist Mika Rottenberg. In this workshop, the surrealist video installations will inspire you to be bold, playful, and critical in the studio. Through unexpected combinations of trinkets, images, sounds, and manipulations, you will create absurd scenes that hover between reality and fiction.
Chromatic Resonance
November 23 2022 to April 6 2023
The two video installations by Montréal artist Nelson Henricks will immerse you in a sensory experience that combines the evocative power of colour and sound. With a world of possibilities to draw on, take part in a creative workshop experimenting with roller-paint and fast-paced compositions.
Imprint of Time
May 24 to June 21 2023
Exploring the effects of time on people and things, this Tandem will introduce you to a selection of video works and sculptures from the MAC’s collection. Among them, the ceramics of Québec artist Laurence Veri will be the starting point for a creative workshop all about textures in relief, composed of organic motifs, imprints, and even sand.
