Introductory workshop to collecting contemporary art and understanding the art market

Friday, April 11, 2024, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. – in French – Free (registration mandatory)

Who are the actors of the art market? Is it possible to collect without a big budget? How do you choose what artwork to collect?

In this workshop presented by SéminArts, an educational program of the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the art world, its functioning, and its market. Followed by a visit to the fair, you will also connect with other emerging collectors and industry stakeholders.

Who is this session for?
This program is free and is aimed at young adults aged 18 to 30 who wish to start a collection of contemporary art, or who wish to immerse themselves in the world of collecting. An entrance to Plural art fair and snacks are included.
