Program

Tandem To Dream
From October 2, 2024 to January 23, 2025

First, a tour of the exhibition Alanis Obomsawin: The Children Have to Hear Another Story will introduce you to Obomsawin, an Abenaki documentary filmmaker, activist, and singer who works tirelessly to highlight the concerns and tell the stories of Indigenous communities. A selection of her most significant films, accompanied by a variety of artworks and documents to provide context, will immerse you in her world. Then, in the workshop, a series of monotypes from the exhibition will inspire you to experiment with paint on the themes of nature and dreams.

After the Tandem, and depending on the availability of audio devices, participants can continue their discovery of the exhibition on their own.

Tandem Metropolises
From March 12 to June 20, 2025

For this Tandem you will visit the group exhibition Dérives cellulaires, which takes inspiration from the Museum’s current location in Place Ville Marie, an emblem of Modernism. Bringing together works from different disciplines – installation, video, photography, drawing, and tapestry – the exhibition revisits this major architectural movement and how the body fits within it. Reflecting this theme, during the workshop you will use various materials to boldly imagine retrofuturist metropolises.
