Adrian Paci is internationally known for his video work and performances that reflect the historical, political, and cultural upheavals that have occurred in Eastern Europe. After his studies in fine art at the Academy of Arts in Tirana (1987-1991), he fled Albania, which was then being ravaged by violence. While inspired by this experience, Paci’s works still have a universal resonance and seek to create a space where oppositions meet: reality and imagination, sensitivity and politics, conflict and the spectacular.
