Michel de Broin’s work questions our relationship to a variety of systems. Through his critical yet playful approach, he subverts ordinary objects and preconceived ideas to shed new light on our daily environment, pointing to things that guide and control our actions and interactions. His work takes multiple forms, including film, photography, sculpture and somewhat clandestine actions within the public space. The artist maintains an experimental approach whereby his work—which he documents and often revisits over time—is in constant evolution.
