Olivia Boudreau produces videos, films, installations and performances that engage viewers in a reflection on the image, presence, intimacy and the experience of perception. In her film and video works, presented as understated installations, scenes from everyday life are expressed as quiet presences that are imbued with their own sense of time or logic. Their minimalist narratives give way to a durational, even contemplative experience. Despite their slowness, inactivity or repetition, subtle changes and variations become apparent and multiply possible readings of the work.
