- Artwork description
- Composed of modules that resemble giant knitting stitches, Seaplex, by Henry Saxe, spreads horizontally across the floor, in contrast to traditionally vertical forms of sculpture. Each identical module consists of interlocking, vinyl covered steel rods. The efficiently simple yet dynamic composition creates a wave-like movement based on the modules’ various configurations. The mobility of the individual elements allows the work to adapt to the particular dimensions of any given exhibition space.
