Artwork description
In Olafur Eliasson’s installation Your space embracer, a mirror ring is suspended in the centre of a dark room, slowly turning on its axis. Behind it, a tripod-mounted spotlight shines on the ring, so that only the circular shape is illuminated. The ray of light draws a shadow behind the rotating disc, and is reflected to form an arc of white light that moves all around the room. Viewers find themselves at the centre of a rarified and fundamental universe of light and movement.
