The Fondation du Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal (MAC) will hold its next Bal du MAC, its flagship event, on Friday, September 25, 2026, at La Nesra.
Under the theme of L’éclat d’un soir the evening will celebrate what contemporary art reveals: its light, its intensity, and the place it holds in our lives. The Bal will begin with a red carpet and cocktail reception, continue with a gourmet dinner, and extend onto the dance floor with festive music provided by a DJ.
The Bal du MAC raises essential funds for the development, conservation, and diffusion of the MAC’s collection, our cultural heritage. Concretely, this support enables the acquisition of new works, makes them accessible to the public—notably through the MACrépertoire digital platform and initiatives in public spaces—and ensures their preservation, all while supporting local artists.
For the second year in a row, the evening’s visual identity is orchestrated by the maubau agency, in collaboration with Shoot Studio, while the scenography is designed by LaBoom.
A must-attend event for the start of the cultural season and Montréal’s philanthropic community.
