Art workshops for families - Winter 2020

Distorsions

January 12, 19, 26, and February 1st, 9, 16, 2020

Shirley Wiitasalo’s enigmatic painting Famous Faces, 1987, presented in the upcoming exhibition showcasing women painters, will challenge your eye and appeal to your imagination. In the workshop, participants will be invited to paint a distorted version of a face, which will become a colourful mix, dotted with assorted elements from our urban environment (paper, plastic bags, cups …).

Lift off!

February 23 and March 1, 8 and 15, 2020

*On February 23, 2020, at 1:30 p.m., the activities will also be signed by Québec sign language (LSQ) interpreter.

Come fly at the Museum’s workshops by painting hugely colourful planes. Wanda Koop’s artwork entitled Airplane, 1983, will spur you to soar into a most exhilarating pictorial adventure!

About Family Sundays

Our Family Sundays are intended for families, familiar with contemporary art or are new to it: children age four and up, teenagers and adults. In a relaxed atmosphere and under the guidance of our welcoming, energetic staff, participants observe original works of art and discover, through a hands-on approach, new ways of creating.
