The MAC’s art educators will visit your elementary school to lead an introductory activity on contemporary art.
To host us on your class, you must:
- Be located on the Island of Montreal.
- Have access to a computer and a projector or screen.
- Have a reliable internet connection.
- Have a cleared table available for the workshop demonstration.
The MAC provides all tools and materials.
Program
The Plant World in the Classroom
January 5 to February 25, 2027
MAC’s art educators will visit your classroom to introduce students to contemporary art through the theme of the plant world. Through a presentation of works from the Museum’s collection, students will discover artists whose practices draw inspiration from the natural world. The activity concludes with a creative workshop in which students will explore the plant world as inspiration for new forms of expression and creative possibilities.
Practical Information
The activity is intended for elementary-school students in grades 1 to 6.
Detailed Schedule
Please note that, to accommodate the art educator’s travel time, we ask that you reserve the program for two classes. One activity will take place in the morning for the first class and a second activity will take place in the afternoon for another class.
Morning: The activity begins between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
Afternoon: The activity begins between 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
