Saturday March 7, 2026
Morning: 10 a.m. to noon
Afternoon: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
This En famille at the MAC activity is built around the exhibition In Praise of the Missing Image, presented at MAC as part of the MOMENTA 2025 Biennale d’art contemporain. During your visit, you will discover the work of 7 artists who explore contemporary issues around images along with the dynamics that shape their narratives. The works will explore the presence of foreign monuments in cities, international soccer rivalries, racism and climate crisis. Through the observing of the works, you will be encouraged to discuss and reflect on forgotten or marginalized stories. Among these, the mural in the series River Water, 2020, by Niap, an artist from Nunavik, addresses themes related to her home territory and Inuit culture. Stimulated by her work, you will create expressive images in an art workshop that bring together drawing and watercolours, evoking transparent landscapes.
The activity is open to all family members ages 6 and up. An adult must be present.
Reservations are required at least 72 hours before the activity.
