Enjoy a unique creative experience at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal! Each En famille at the MAC session invites you to discover artists and artworks, then join your loved ones in a workshop guided by our cultural mediation team and designed for adults and children ages 8 and up.
This fall, meet the emerging-artists of the support program Habiter le MAC, discover their artistic approach, then create your own work inspired by their practice, alongside the artists themselves. Fabric printing, beading, soap carving… each activity offers a new exploration!

Known for her work with gelatin, Armenian-born artist Miri Chek, who divides her practice between Montreal and Yerevan, will introduce you to moulding this material to create a large collective carpet.

Soap Carving With Marly Fontaine
Marly Fontaine is an Innu artist from the community of Uashat Mak Mani-utenam whose practice focuses on raising awareness of First Nations realities and history. In this spirit, she invites you to a soap carving workshop that celebrates the Innu language and the importance of preserving it.
