Why collect contemporary art?
SéminArts is an educational program that offers an introduction to collecting contemporary art. Over five weeks, participants will have the opportunity to actively engage in conversations with various key contributors from the Montreal art scene including artists, curators and gallery owners. Each will offer an intimate look at what it means to be a collector today.

Who is SéminArts for?
Open to anyone curious to learn more about collecting and the world of contemporary art. Reserve early, places limited.
Practical information:
- Format: 5 sessions (in English) in person. Tuesdays, January 21, January 28, February 4, February 11, and February 18, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Sessions will take place at a different location each week, near downtown Montreal, which will be shared before the session.
- Tarif : $225, taxes included for the 5 sessions. 15% off for MACarte holders

January 21: Visit to a private collectors’ collection
January 28: Visit of Formes infinies, exhibition at the Université de Montréal gallery, with curator and Executive Director of the Biennale d’art contemporain autochtone (BACA) Mike Patten, and Mark Lanctôt, curator responsible for the MAC collection
February 4: Visit of artist James Gardner’s studio
February 11: Tour of the National Bank corporate collection with curator Jo-Ann Kane
February 18: Meet a gallery owner
