Discover an Artist of Habiter le MAC
From September 17 to December 11, 2026
As part of the Habiter le MAC program, this 1 hours 45 minutes activity will immerse students in the creative process. During each activity, an artist-in-residence at the Museum welcomes students into their studio and shares the ideas and inspirations that shape their artistic practice. The visit is followed by a creative workshop in which the artist invites students to experiment with an aspect of their artistic work. This is a unique opportunity to meet an artist, discover their creative process and explore their creative world in a hands-on way.
This program has a maximum capacity of a single class of 28 students.
Plant World at the Museum
March 8 to April 30, 2027
Although there is no exhibition currently on view, our art educators will welcome your class to the Museum for an introduction to contemporary art centred on the theme of plants. The activity begins with a slideshow featuring works from the MAC’s collection and an exploration of a mural on display at the Museum. Students will discover artists with diverse practices who draw inspiration from the natural world. The activity concludes with a creative workshop in which students explore the plant world to create their own artworks.
This program is able to welcome one or two classes at a time.
The activity is 2 hours long and is tailored to the students, their needs and specific requests.
Practical Information
- Tandems take place at the MAC at Place Ville Marie.
- It is intended for students in grades 3 to 6 as well as high school students.
- Capacity: one class of up to 28 students.
