Come and discover the novel approach of ten Québec artists, through the television series Vente de garage. Ten ordinary objects transformed into artworks!
From March 11 to 31, 2010, the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal will be exhibiting original creations by ten artists who transformed objects from everyday life into artworks for the ARTV documentary series Vente de garage, produced by Claire Obscura.
Directors/producers Bernar Hébert and Renée Claude Riendeau asked visual artists Gwenaël Bélanger, Marie-Pierre Daigle, Doyon-Rivest, Louis Fortier, Camille Grenon, Massimo Guerrera, Nathalie Guez, Isabelle Hayeur, Christine Major and Giorgia Volpe to create works out of personal items donated by well-known personalities: Marc Labrèche, Yves Corbeil, Claude Dubois, Sylvie Moreau, Charles Lafortune, Pauline Marois, Catherine Trudeau, Chantal Lamarre, Florence K and Marie-Hélène Thibault.
All the pieces will be sold in a silent auction that will begin on opening night on March 11 and continue throughout the exhibition. Part of the proceeds will go to the MACM Foundation.
