Support Art and Artists

Support the MAC’s ongoing commitment to today’s artists by contributing to our annual campaign, The Art of Becoming.

Through a series of portraits of Lyne Lapointe, Frantz Patrick Henry, asinnajaq, Pierre Dorion, and David Altmejd, discover how an exhibition, an acquisition, the addition of a work to the collection, a commission, or an encounter with a curator can have a real impact on an artist’s trajectory.

Dedicated to the art of our time, the MAC is committed to remaining close to artists, supporting them at different stages of their careers, and fostering the development of their artistic practice.

The MAC needs your support.

Join us in reaching our goal of $150,000 so that the MAC can continue its commitment to artists and enrich a collection that reflects the plurality of practices, voices, and territories.

Your donations directly support:

  • Residency and mentorship programs – Such as Habiter le MAC which support emerging artists in developing their practice;
  • Research and curatorial support – The Museum’s curatorial teams meet with artists in Montréal and across Québec, visiting their studios and following the evolution of their practices to identify and support compelling artistic voices.
  • The commissioning, acquisition, and preservation of artworks – In preparation for its reopening, the MAC is enriching its collection through the acquisition and commissioning of major works conceived in dialogue with the Museum’s future spaces, while ensuring the preservation of its collection.
  • Initiatives that raise the visibility of artists’ work in Quebec, Canada and internationally – The MAC supports the promotion of local artists by forging partnerships with institutions around the world and encouraging their participation in international events and conferences, such as the Lyon Biennale and the Max and Iris Stern International Symposium.

Your support makes all the difference!

Giving to The Art of Becoming means making a tangible impact on artists’ careers, supporting the art being created today, and helping build the collective heritage of tomorrow.
