THE ART OF INSPIRING: CAMPAIGN GOAL EXCEEDED!

The Fondation du MAC is pleased to announce that the annual The Art of Inspiring campaign has raised more than $180,000. The Foundation extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to this campaign, which concluded on March 31, 2026.

Thanks to the generosity of donors, the Foundation has exceeded its initial goal of $150,000 to support the MAC’s education and community engagement programs. Public support helped us exceed this goal by 20%.

These contributions enable the MAC to reach an ever-wider audience and promote the benefits of contemporary art, while continuing to innovate to offer high-quality, accessible, inclusive, and inspiring educational experiences that meet the needs of communities.

The Foundation sincerely thanks everyone who believes in the importance of art and education and who chose to donate.

Although the campaign has ended, the MAC’s needs remain.

SUPPORT EDUCATION AND ENGAGEMENT AT THE MAC

With The Art of Inspiring, the Fondation du MAC supports the beating heart of the Musée’s mission: education. Our programs bring the Musée to life — serving as a pillar for its community, reaching audiences of all ages and backgrounds, and touching them with the benefits of contemporary art.

We are aiming to raise $150,000 to make our programs accessible to more people, continue to innovate, and remain closely connected with diverse communities—so we are better equipped to meet the needs of an ever-changing society.

Our educational programs reach a broad spectrum of audiences — students from elementary to university level, classes in underprivileged areas, community groups, families, and those who might not otherwise have easy access to the museum. This year, we aim to extend our reach even further… and we need your support to make this possible!

At the MAC, young people are at the heart of our educational mission

At the MAC, young people are at the heart of our educational mission. Children, teenagers, and students—from first grade through university—benefit from free, tailored programs that complement classroom learning. These experiences go far beyond an exhibition visit—they inspire curiosity, encourage personal expression, and build self-confidence, particularly through the exploration of unexpected materials and techniques in our creative workshops.

Our education team’s approach is based on peer dialogue and encourages young people to develop a critical perspective on contemporary issues through the lens of contemporary art

Concretely, your donations:

  • Allow young people full, free access to contemporary art, which has been shown to reduce school dropout, strengthen self-esteem, and broaden horizons.
  • Support teachers, with thoughtfully designed educational programs tailored to the needs of their students.
  • Reduce inequalities in access to culture, through the Hors les murs program, bringing contemporary art directly into under-resourced primary school classrooms.

Support Community Engagement and Art for All Ages

The MAC engages with a diverse range of communities.

Through its initiative Ce qui doit être dit (What Must Be Said), the MAC engages with a diverse range of communities—including newcomers, refugees, and 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals—by creating tailored, multi-month programs that give participants a voice and a unique experience in contemporary art.

The MAC also offers public activities year-round for adults, children, and seniors, making contemporary art accessible to everyone. Programs like Moments créatifs: Ateliers pour adultes and MAC en famille build bridges across generations and communities, making art a powerful driver of connection

Your donations make it possible to:

  • Create tailored programs that give a voice to those who are often unheard, through new initiatives of Ce qui doit être dit, developed in collaboration with community organizations.
  • Offer creative activities that combat isolation and promote well-being, such as Moments créatifs, a series of adult workshops focused on connection through a shared passion.
  • Provide families with a space to bond through creativity, through MAC en famille, a year-round program for all ages.

Support Accessibility

The MAC co-creates meaningful, tailored museum experiences that are accessible to all.

Through partnerships with specialized organizations and the guidance of experts living with disabilities, the MAC co-creates meaningful, tailored museum experiences that are accessible to all.

The initiative Inclusion in Action mobilizes human, technological, and material resources to increase access to contemporary art, offering unique experiences that foster inclusion and enable everyone to participate fully and without barriers.

Your donations make art accessible. Specifically, they allow us to:

  • Create creative experiences for people who are blind or have low vision, including Braille texts, tactile models, and audio-described content.
  • Develop exhibition pathways in sign language (LSQ and ASL), enabling Deaf and hard-of-hearing visitors to access our exhibitions independently and fully experience the art.
  • Welcome more groups with disabilities, by providing ongoing staff training, personalized support, and designing programs in collaboration with people living with disabilities.
