The Fondation du MAC is proud to share the success of the 17th edition of Printemps du MAC, held on April 11, 2025 at La Nesra. The event made a lasting impression with its creative atmosphere and its exploration of the theme: Alter Ego. The evening brought together nearly 1,200 people and raised a substantial sum for the Fondation du MAC. Thanks to the remarkable generosity of participants, donors, and invaluable partners, over $450,000 was raised. These essential funds will directly support the MAC’s initiatives: enriching educational activities, supporting bold exhibitions for which the Museum is renowned, and bolstering its permanent collection.

Immersed in the theme of the Alter Ego, guests were transported into a captivating universe of dualities, subtle reflections, and multiple identities. The evening showcased the inherent richness and complexity of contemporary artistic creation, while offering an immersive, truly unforgettable experience for all who were present.

New artist program a great success

This year marked a turning point for the Foundation with regards to the auction. Through an innovative program dedicated to emerging artists, six artists – Gabor Bata, Sierra Barber, Rémi Belliveau, Colin Canary, Marie-Danielle Duval, and Clara Lacasse – benefited from a valuable mentoring session led by artist Yann Pocreau and personalized meetings with MAC curators. Furthermore, they received the full proceeds from the sale of their works. This additional commitment testifies to the MAC Foundation’s desire to actively support the development of the next generation of artists.

The auction, which included the artists’ works as well as products and experiences, raised over $43,000. The Foundation would like to thank EY, presenter of the auction, and Simon Beaulieu (Managing Partner of EY’s Financial Services Consulting Department).

Les Printemps du MAC: a celebration of alter egos

Les Printemps du MAC once again demonstrated its unique ability to offer spectacular, avant-garde events, boldly celebrating the inclusion of all genres and styles.

As part of its commitment to supporting the next generation of creative talent, the event invited up-and-coming designers Raphaël Viens, 3-dimensional, Scorli, Tristan Réhel, LAKUACHIMOTO, and MRKNTN to create bespoke outfits for the evening, that express their vision. The favorable response from influential personalities such as Valérie Roberts, Michelle Furtado, Catherine Brunet, and Lydia Bouchard made the second edition of the Printemps du MAC red carpet a resounding success.

The evening was filled with lively performances by DJs Ian Jackman, Audrey Bélanger, and Tallandskiinny and came to a grand conclusion with The Neighbors, who helped make the event one to remember. Guests were also treated to a number of unique experiences, including an elegant sunglasses station by BonLook and a surprise performance by dancers and Gisèle Lullaby.

The culinary offering also delighted palates, thanks to the generous support of Flyjin, Soubois, Name’s on the way, Montréal Bowling, Chez Josie, Shnoopi, Shnoopa, and caterer Brera for the VIP section.

Sincere thanks to our partners and sponsors

The resounding success of Les Printemps du MAC would not have been possible without the unfailing commitment of its partners. The Foundation is grateful to the National Bank, which not only provided crucial financial support for the event, but also presented a captivating work by Sabrina Ratté Monade I, II, III, and IV (2020) and offered a refined welcome cocktail; to BonLook, who oversaw guests’ arrival on the red carpet, hosted a must-have eyewear counter, and spoiled guests with a memorable red carpet and trendy frames for all; and to TRISTAN, whose dancers, sporting their distinctive oversized bags, added a memorable artistic touch. A special thank you goes to Bell Canada, who enriched the evening with a privileged networking moment; to La Maison Simons for its impressive visual contribution to the décor; and to Turkish Airlines, who graciously allowed access to the Majudia Collection exhibition room in Arsenal art contemporain. The Fondation du MAC would like to express its deep gratitude to ARDENE, Groupe Focus, and TROUVÉ MTL for their support.
