Referencing Stéphane Mallarmé, the dancer Loïe Fuller, Euclid and Vaslav Nijinsky, Davis presents four new works which explore the relationships between geometry, dance and time. Over the last twenty years, the Toronto-based artist has developed an installation practice that, while eschewing easy classification, has resulted in a range of highly evocative works that are intellectually demanding, yet resonate on visual, visceral and material levels.
