Originally a painter, and now essentially a photographer, the Montreal-based artist began his career in the early 90s. The projects explored here offer an autobiographical investigation of everyday, domestic reality through a substantial body of works that confound disciplines and break down the barriers between art and its exhibition space. This is the latest in the series of publications the Musée devotes to emerging artists. Baier’s creative vitality has been recognized with the prestigious Pierre-Ayot Award.
