The Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal (MAC) is the place to be this coming Friday, April 13, from 9 p.m. on, when it holds the 12th edition of the famous Printemps du MAC event.

This exceptional evening, inspired by this year’s theme ELO LEO, will offer a nod to Leonard Cohen with its sixties atmosphere and beatnik look, and will take place in a museum that has been utterly transformed for the occasion. All proceeds from the evening go to the Musée Foundation, whose mission is to support the MAC in its various areas of activity: building the collection, producing exhibitions, promoting and preserving contemporary art and offering educational programs.

Cost: $175
A charitable-donation tax receipt will be issued for the eligible portion of the total.

This essential event on Montréal’s spring social calendar is well known for its inventive celebratory style, its eye-popping themes, its trendy attendees and its avant-garde taste. This year, the event will once again welcome more than 1,000 guests to an exclusive cocktail reception where all present will be invited to share in a cultural and gastronomic discovery. Throughout the evening, participants can groove to the music of DJ Thomas H, bid on various prizes offered in the silent auction and enjoy the very special opportunity of visiting the Musée exhibitions in a unique, elegant and festive atmosphere.
