Montréal, February 26, 2013 — The Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal (MAC) is pleased to be taking part in the 31st edition of the International Festival of Films on Art (FIFA) to be held from March 14 to 24, 2013. The MAC has been a FIFA partner since the earliest days of the Festival. This year we will offer festival goers, gathered from both near and far, a range of exhibitions that will enable them to discover and appreciate the great diversity found in contemporary art from 1940 to 2012.
During the Festival, the exhibitions and projection newly opened and not to be missed at the MAC are:
Laurent Grasso. Uraniborg
Co-produced by the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal and the Jeu de Paume in Paris, Laurent Grasso, Uraniborg is the artist’s first major exhibition in Québec or anywhere in Canada, and the largest ever held in North America.
Lynne Cohen. False Clues
False Clues by Lynne Cohen showcases forty works by this internationally renowned photographer, most of them recently produced.
Jonathas de Andrade. 4 000 Disparos
In our continuing Projections series, Jonathas de Andrade’s film 4 000 Disparos is the inaugural Canadian presentation of the work of this Brazilian artist.
